The Christmas Music Gala
Het Kerst Muziekgala (The Christmas Music Gala) is a gala full of music for and by children, with performances by Karsu, Kris Kross Amsterdam, OG3NE and Edsilia Rombley, among others. This year, too, the Netherlands’ Biggest School Band will be formed by elementary school classes from Jeugdeducatiefonds-certified* (Youth Education Fund) schools from across the country. Queen Máxima, Honorary President of the Stichting Meer Muziek in de Klas (More Music in the Classroom Foundation), will be welcomed as our guest of honor.
Het Kerst Muziekgala 2022 aired December 26th, at AVROTROS on NPO 1.
Performers such as Jeangu Macrooy, Jamai Loman, Wouter Hamel and Trijntje Oosterhuis performed at Het Kerst Muziekgala 2021.
**he Jeugdeducatiefonds (Youth Education Fund) helps to improve the educational opportunities of children growing up in disadvantaged situations and wants to show how fun and valuable music education is. Stichting Meer Muziek in de Klas is a partner of the Jeugdeducatiefonds and believes it is important that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity to participate in Het Kerst Muziekgala 2022.
