Last night ‘The Traitors’ has won the Realscreen Award for ‘Best New Format’. The Realscreen Awards program competition recognizes outstanding content from around the world in the industry’s global celebration of excellence in non-fiction and unscripted entertainment.

The Traitors first aired in 2021 under the original name ‘De Verraders’. Immediately after the launch there was international interest for the format.
“It has been an amazing journey to dive into the world of The Traitors with the many, brilliant producers around the world creating their own version of the format. Together with All3Media International we’ve worked hard on making The Traitors a global success. In 2023 The Traitors was the fastest selling format worldwide for the 2nd year in a row. Currently the format is sold in more than 25 territories, with more to be added later this year” says Kevin Soares, EVP international formats at IDTV.
